Moishe House Chicago are all proud to come from the Midwest of this grand old US of A. With Illinois, Michigan and Wisconsin representing, we know Lake Michigan by the backs of our hands and are proud of our knowledge of cheeses and seasons. Our house is built on the foundation of communal living as we have all grown up together and have all benefitted from this model. Yea! Our professional interests vary from social work to landscape architecture to music to design to organizing and advocacy and BEYOND! We are excited about using Moishe House as a vehicle to inspire our community to get involved in different types of service to the greater Chicago area. We like to ROCK em and SOCK em and are excited about living and working for such an exciting organization and movement.

At the JUF Uptown Cafe we helped set up, clean up, serve dinner and mingle. The Uptown Cafe opens their doors to anyone and everyone who would like/ need a meal and access to social services and case management.
We had a wonderful Shabbat dinner with many new members. It was a delicious meal of BBQ brisket, vegan lasagna, and many desserts... yum!
We enjoyed a fun afternoon of watching the Bear's game, carving pumpkins, drinking hot totties, roasting pumpkin seeds, and candy-eating craziness.
We had nice intimate game of tag football on Thursday. It was a beautiful evening to spend outdoors running around.
We spent Shabbat morning going to services at the Bnei Zaken Ethiopian Synagogue on the south side of Chicago. After a beautiful morning service, we enjoyed a potluck luncheon with the congregation.
